    Default Thank you Yadkin Guide

I bought one of the FHS High Rock Lake maps recently and I want to personally thank Maynard Edwards for all the hard work and diligence he provided in the compilation of this map. I think the mark of a true sportsman is how we further our sport by being unselfish in our abilities by helping others. Again thank you for your contributions to our sport.

Default Thank you for the Thank You

Wow! I am grateful for the acknowledgement. Several of us got together with the people from FHS to create that map a few years ago. It is the only topo map of High Rock Lake in existence that I am aware of. Alcoa aluminum has the only true geo map of the lake but they will not release it to the public. The people from FHS tried to buy it from them but no go. That is the reason we spent about a week with these guys laying it out with recording equipment and from memory. It is actually very accurate. I also wrote the seasonal patterns article on the map. I caught a lot of grief from some of the old High Rock guys because we told too much. I had forgotten about all of that until you brought it up. Thank you.

Simple I had picked up a map from Bass Pro that has the town on it. It just shows the basic outline of the lake with no contours or depths. I bought it just to familarize myself with the names of the creeks and the lake so I could put a place with a name when I would hear it mentioned.
