Thread: Norman Confidence Boost 4/28/08

Confidence boost for everyone but me and my buddy lol. Headed out to Littles Creek to a favorite dock with some brush under it and around the banks behind it. Started bird doggin (free lining a minnow, no weight). Perdy soon my buddy had a 2-3lb largemouth on. Dang bass. 15min later I caught an 8 or 9" black male all painted up perdy for courtin'. That was the end of that. Went to a fail safe dock that we never ever fail to catch 5 or 6 at even on the slowed days and nothing. Circled around our favorite rip rap point right at dark with a redfin and only one boil and that was that. Fished from 6:45ish til dark. It was slower than S-L-O-W for us. Glad we hit our best spots first or we'da probably been skunked lol. That report ought to make somebody that fished Norman yesterday feel good lol.

Man it sounds like my fishing experience as of late. At least you didnt get the skunk. Im still confused. lol

I'm not sure. I got the skunk on Wylie the other day, but atleast if I mark fish somewhere else on a different lake I can catch a few. I can mark fish on Norman and not get a bite.

Glad you caught some. Thanks again for the info. Unfortunately due to rain and family obligations was unable to fish.

Youre telling me. I have no idea what in the world is going on. Last time I got on em good, meaning a limit or better was in January at Long Island when the water temperature was 41-42 degrees.

yeah weird. last year around mid april til about the first of june i was pounding them on topwater every day.....this year i only got 1 on topwater so far, but i really havent been fishing too much as of late.

crappies or stripers? lol....im talkin crappies....but stripers too now that you mention it.

I was there the 25, and did ok, 11 perch and 2 bass.
