Well guys I know where the big ones are.. I hit the river this morning at 7am. I had decided to walk WAY down river to see if I could catch a few big boys. Well I get to my spot and what do I find???? A NET!!! It had to be 100 yards long stretched from 1 side of the river to the other in 3 different spots... It was a Gill net.... BOY WAS I GETING HOTT. I looked around and found a empty book bag and a paddle hid in the bushes??? I tried my best to get my hands on the net but it was not happening. So what did I do. I grabed my cell phone and called the wildlife office!! There is a # on your fishing license. Within 5 min the local officer called me back. He told me he would be there as soon as he could. By this time I Had made my way back up the river a few 100 yards or so. I had told some other guys about the net and they decided they were going to check it out. They all had waders on. Well about 10 min later one of them comes back to find me. "The guys are there now pulling the net back in". They were using a small blow up raft. So I called the officer back and told him they were there. 10 min later he shows up and finds me. We tell him exactly where they were.. about 10 min later the officer is walking back with 2 guys and 2 5gal buckets full OF BIG WHITE BASS 22 total.. SO thats where the big boys were. I hung around the river for another 30 min or so and decided to head back to the parking lot. The 2 guys were just pulling off WITH THE FISH IN THE BACK OF THERE TRUCK. WHAT UP WIH THAT?? Game warden called me over to thank me for calling. He told me that they had been doing this all season and some last year. They just had never been able to catch em.
ALL I CAN SAY IS DON"T MESS IT UP FOR EVERYONE ELSE.. IT WILL CATCH UP TO YA.
So maybe we will catch a few big ones now since they can get up river..
BUZZZZ
So what happened to the 2 guys. Did they get a fine, or just a warning or what. What kind of fishing is that, there isnt any fun in doing it that way.
Yep only $7 fine for each fish they had and they had 22. So thats $154. Not sure on any other fines. Pretty sure they will have to goto court.
BUZZZZ
Good job Buzzbait, I wish everyone would be more cognizant of the outlaws that plunder our natural resources. By contacting the authorities you did exactly what all sportsmen and women should do when they see someone violating our game and fish regulations.
Buzz that just frosts me!![]()
should have confiscated everything they had if they didnt have proper licenses for netting and i didnt think you could put a net across a waterway?
GET IN, SIT DOWN, HOLD ON, AND BE VEWY VEWY QUITE!!!!!
Is there a new rule about how to fish that we aren't aware of?
This new generation of fishermen/fisherwomen is about the easy way out...(how to get over on everyone) They seem to think its about them and they think they are above the law.
Thanks to BuzzBait for his quick reaction to call the officials
~~God has his angels~~
Nice Going Buzz. Dang Stuff Like That Just........%$#@&# Me Right Off.
Pretty work Buzz that burns my azz.. I went fishing there last week and it was terrible nothing but a couple of small dinks... I dont think that fine was steep enough. They should have cofiscated all their gear as far as Im concerned. I would have to ask them the WTF!?

Nice work Buzz. I have penny's marked on my map for a first time trip. Never been there. Now, thanks to you, I have a chance of catching some good fish. Thanks! :D
