Can anyone recommend a good licensed taxidermist in the Wake, Franklin County area?

I don't know how far from Wake you want to go..but Craig Hall in Mebane is the best I have ever seen. Now take for granted he has only done deer for me, but he does other taxidermery work as well.

    Default cheapest

cheapest is key words that means run you get what you pay for and cheap is not quality, cheap is throw away your money, stick with Craig Hall he may be higher but quality is first and painting a good crappie just anyone can't do it

Craig was always reasonable on the deer mounts he has done for me and in line with the other taxidermists. He has done my last four deer and the first one he mounted in 2001 looks as good as the day I got it from him. I will always use him even though he lives 80 miles or so away from me. Crappie Sniper is right...you get what you pay for.

Yep,you usually get what you pay for>There is a guy where I live thats won several awards,on his price sheet it says "quality lasts long after the price is forgotten".On wiljes defense sometimes the cheaper guy will do you just as good a job.I worked with a guy who was very good on deer, and was a lot cheaper, but he had a full time jobin a factory,so he didnt depend on the taxidermy dollars to support his family..
