    Default Stripers in the Dan

Not a crappie report - but the fishing was great
Saturday, I caught 2 stripers over 27 inches and my buddy
Rodney caught and released one 18 and one 24 incher.
We were using live shad and trolling downriver from Milton ramp.
Also, picked up a blue cat on the shad. Waters a little low in the river,
but not as bad as last year.

Where'd you say you were fishing? Sounds like you had a pretty good day on the water.

Fishing the Dan River at the Milton NC ramp. Take 29 N to Danville and hwy 58 East about 5 miles take right to Milton. Ramp on right ,before the bridge right after you cross back into NC.

My buddy Rodney went back yesterday and caught 8 keeper size Stripers with his dad.
They were fishing just downriver from the ramp - live shad.
And I have to work for a living .......

I believe the right you take from 58 is hwy 62 ( Milton Hwy).
