Well fellows, the Crappie didn't smile on Crappie Heaven this week. After 3 days of Northeast winds, the water was blown out of the basin, canal, and the creeks. When the wind finally changed direction, salt water flooded the marsh. The Crappie took a quick hike up river. I did manage to harvest a nice turkey though. He weighed 20.5 lbs, and had an 11 inch beard. His spurs were 1.25 inches and were unusually large in diameter. All in all it was a pretty good trip.
The old PolarKraft had to stay on the trailer this trip. Maybe next trip down won't be so Skunky.
Nice Tom Kellog. Congratulations!
Nice Turkey, what bait were ya using?
