    Default Jordan 4/19/08

Fished White Oak,long-lining jigs in 9-12ft water. Anything under 11" couldn't ride in Triton my buddy has. Musta throwed back 50 10"fish. Was off the lake by 12:30 with 40 11" or better fish, majority 12" or better.Forty fish filled a 5 gallon bucket slap full. Fish were caught on 'jiffy jigs',crappie snacks(paddle tail) and tripple ripple/kailin bodies. 1/16 and 1/24 double rigs. Will post pictures if I can of 2 of the largest caught Saturday. More pics when my buddy gets back to Ga.He's gonna stop off at Santee/Cooper for a few days, one of the perks of retirement. All the females I filleted still had bright yellow roe in 'em,males had very small roe.

White Oak Creek is at Crosswins Marina thru the bridge. We stayed @ Crosswinds Campground State Park.

Well that is some fun fishing you had there. Nice fish ... REAL nice! Thanks for the report. Do you think it would be ok to put a canoe in there in that creek. I dont want to contend with large boat wakes in a canoe. Is it such that big boats dont go up there? Thanks for any help.

LOL. Windy ain't the word for it. We only fished half days Sun and Mon,not at all Tues. All in all though for amount of time actually spent on the water that week, we did pretty good.
