Watch a guy in a big ole inboard not even slow down going across the road bed in little beaver, I mean the danger bouies aren't but big as a Man and there are three of them. What did he think they ment! It was not a pretty sight.
I don't know why they didn't dig up the raod when the lake was built. I have heard there are cars around there and you can see the tops of them when the lake is low. I know I won't have to worry about this anymore since I haven't saw anything back there to make me really want to fish that one spot.
It was barren for me saturday also! TURKEYFOOT if you live in Iredell countyYou must have a heck of a drive to jordan ! Its 108 miles from my house in western Winston-Salem to fearrington point ramp, how far is it for you?
It depends which way I go. I am just inside the Iredell Co line. I almost always use the Ebenezer ramp. From Mocksville where I fill up with gas, it's 100 miles if I go 64. It's 10 more miles if I go 40 to 421 to 64. I prefer 40 to 421 since the roads are so much better and only 3 stop lights until I get to Siler City. Yeah it's a long drive and it looks like my trips to Jordan will be limited until gas prices drop some. I used to go this way quite a bit years ago since my dad and my uncle started up the pallet company along 421 just past Siler City but I had not been in the area much until about a year ago.

Funny story, When I first started fishing on Falls lake I saw two of those Hazard bouies at the end of Barton Creek. I thought you were supposed to go between them! Well I hit bottom of course but luckily I was able to think quick and got my motor up and saved my prop! I Still do not understand why there are two of them because you need to go around the outside one to be in the channel. If you go between the outside one and shore you are gonna hit bottom...

When i first started fishing Jordan about 10 years ago I ruined a perfectly good 4 blade renegade ss prop. That was an expensive lesson learned. There was no bouy in the area so I still dont know what i hit but I stay away these days..It was on the left bank leaving Fairrington headed toward the main body with the standing timber.
Thanks for the heads up on going to the left out of Farrington hotrod. Idid'nt know there was anything there!
