    Default High Rock Social--1st Leg.

Went up to High Rock this morning and met CrappyKrazy to do a little trollin. It was a nice day except for the wind. We did, however, find a way to deal with it.

Boyce was a good host and even held my big fish up so I could get a picture of it without getting slime on hands!

We found a spot out of the wind and trolled between 2 docks about 50 yds apart all morning. I think we probably caught 60 or so fish but had alot of throwbacks. We tried one more spot about noon and the bite was good but we had gone thru out 8 dz minnows so we headed in with our 33 crappies.

Nat and CK cleaned some fish from us and the other Crappie.com anglers there.

Then Ck and crap-king (c-k) cleaned more fish. Thereb was plenty caught..

Then came the food. Fried crappie fillets, tater salad, cole slaw, chips, cake and I don't know what else. Oh yeah--Hawkman's Hot Pickles!

Mrs CrappieKrazy and Little CrappieKrazy were there too.

Thanks to Nat and everybody for making it a great event--and it's still going on!!

Great pictures, Kunes! It was great to meet you too. Here's a link to some of the pictures I took today. Maybe next time I can join you guys in the boat and get a pic of those slabs before they hit the grease!

Kunes I had a ball and thanks for not mentioning the one that got away. It was good to see you again. We'll have to do it again real soon. Thanks for the BBQ and the "purple bag". If I was going to fish again tomorrow I would start where we ended today. I caught those last fish on jigs with no minnows, wish you would have shared a few of yours with me:D . Lets do it again soon. Great to see everybody and I look foward to next months social. Thanks to Nat for cooking and everyone who brought something to snack on. Good luck tomorrow. CK.

Thanks Mrs CK and Painterfish for the pics. This must be the most well documented social so far.

Live2 and G-man--thanks for the excellent dock shooting lesson. That tackle set up you use really makes it easy and effective. May start day fishing even!!

Boyce, I had a blast. That last spot we hit had nitestalk written all over it. I hope Nat tried it last nite. I decided not to tell anyone how you mistook the biggest fish of the day for a lifter and lost it....oops!...there...now I've done it:D

There was fish, food and friends what more could you ask for. Thanks to all who helped and came.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
