Thread: James Monday and Rodhiss Tonite

I tried James monday. No luck. 2 slabs and thats about it. a few dinks, i think 10 total. not much for fishing all nite. called it early due to lockjaw!!

Gonna try rodhiss tonite, ill report in the morning. Havent heard from the WNC anglers in a few, where yall been?????

Glad to here you had a good night of fishing! A fishing buddy stopped in yesterday and said they were really bringing em over at rhodhiss. I have just recently bought an older used boat and am trying to get all the kinks worked out. As soon as possible the wife and I will be out there ourselves,and we hope to get some at rhodhiss since we only are 10 mins away. Do you have any suggestions on James? We really like going up there and would like to learn to fish it. Congrats again!

crowderj, how'd you do on rodhiss? Was thinkin bout goin' tue nite but don't care to drive 45mins. to show minners the lake if it's slow, can do that on lookout or norman!

Hey guys...i hit up the hiss lastnight for a little while...we were there from about 5pm til about 10:30...they bit pretty well with a fish in the boat almost instantly after droppin the anchor...after about 7:30 we tried connely creek where there were several boats...we sat up on a tree top and well we didnt' get a bite for about an hour and a half...we then we back to the fist place and caught a couple more then called it a night....only a couple slabs...the rest were small.

we did real good on rodhis the other nite. got about 50. some nice uns!! see my post about rodhiss on the board. that was the trip after james.

spotrunnin: the fish are spawning now. you can go up there and catch em in the trees and under docks. i fish a little deeper at nite near the creek channel. those fish are less pressured.

savedbygrace: connelly creek is fished a lot cause it holds so much bait and is right nxt to the landing, so its a community fishing hole. good to hear ya caught a few. i got your PM but not till this morning, sorry i couldnt get back to ya sooner.

crowder, was planin on goin' to rodhis tomarra nite but can't talk myself into the hour drive home at midnite on a work nite so I'll try lookout again. Didn't do great last week, only 3 but water was doin' crazy things. We were set up back in a cove and corks would move 3' to the left then back 3' to the right all nite! Fish didn't know if they were commin' or goin'! Figgur they were dumpin' from Hickory then dumpin' from Lookout so hopefully it will be better this time. Gonna try a drop off goin back into a creek feed cove that bass fishin's been good to me in. Will let you know how we did and may make myself go to Rodhis next week, may need a partner if you're intrested.
