    Default Jigging timber

Anybody jig any timber in NC? There's no visible standing timber where I fish and never hear anybody talk about it. Watching all the videos on YouTube makes me want to feel a thump.

Jordan Lake would be your best bet. When the lake was built, there were trees left standing in a couple places. They are in around 20 +/- ft of water. It's not just a tree here or there but off the banks about halfway out so navigation across the lake isn't much problem. However, they have rotted at the waterline but still standing underwater so be careful if you get very far into a section. I know a few people who used to fish in the timber at night(minnows and jigs) and caught a cooler full of good sized fish.
