High Point Conditions
Drove down to HIgh Rock lake today. Stopped at Flat Swamp ramp. Gulls everywhere as far as you can see picking off shad floating on the water.
Same at the hwy 8 landing at Abbots Creek.
Is this indicative of a shad kill and implys that fishing is worthless? No boats at any of the landings, another bad sign.
Any comments?

I was there Friday and there was so much debris and logs it looked like a logging company had unloaded on the lake. There were dead shad everywhere at flat swamp and panthers creek along with hundreds of gulls Im going to give it until Monday or Tuesday from all this water we got. Probably going to fish Norman Saturday or Monday the water is much clearer and not as much trash

Hi all.
I live on High Rock and its pretty nasty from all the rain. They'll need to start letting some water out to get it cleaned up. Since the water isn't moving, the trash, debris and mud is backing up into the creeks. Makes for some pretty tough fishing.
