Default Jordan and a North Wind

First off I want to start by saying I honestly believe the weather man lied today about how strong the winds were, also a North wind on Jordan really, really sucks. Now that is off my chest I caught my personal best today 14 1/2 crappie with no scale to provide a weight I was kind of upset, I was the only boat out there today and I am very glad I went because the fish were biting.

Were you using minnows or jigs.
Best day I had years ago was in a N wind. Caught 4 limits or more.
I think the fish have been waiting for a cold snap to drop the threadfins.
    Whoever's going tomorrow good luck.
Hope to see some good post tomorrow evening.

Also stripers in timber channel last week lost 3 and landed 1 @ 25" and several kitties no crappie. Cold goi g to be better!!!

I always prefer using jigs over minnows but the crappie had other desires, they wanted minnows and they would swim up with the hook, my line would go slack and the rod tip would straighten out.

I find that to be normal in cold weather. That is why I like tight lining around the boat.

I've found the more pleased I am with the weather, the less the fish bite.
