I got to sneak out for a quick trip last night at Jordan. I wasn't having much luck from shore, but it was a nice evening. About 20 minutes before I called it a night, I hooked into the 12" crappie. Just off shore, on the riprap. I was about to lift the line to make another cast, and it destroyed the jig! I made a few more casts, and again, just before I was going to call it a night, I hooked into the second pictured fish. To the best of my recollection, this is my personal best crappie to date... 14" of awesomeness!

Good fishing--looks like they are females that still have not spawned. This may be why they are near the rip-rap.
I didn't cut too far into them, but I did not see any eggs in that bigger one. Usually they have that "bulge" to them, but this did not. Maybe she didn't have as many as normal, or she is just so big that she didn't show like they usually do?

Congrats on the big one! They are pretty fun to catch when they get that big.
