Thread: Jordan nightstalk

Well, after I did all my motherly/wifely duties and slung a pile of food on the table, I took the ole "lunker" out for a night of quality bonding time for the two of us.
After tying up to the bridge at Ebeneezer and getting the lantern lit, I dropped a minnow out while fixing the rest of the arsenal of poles. Before I could get the next one ready I had a hit...dink. Oh well, rearmed it and sent it back to battle.
I finally got four poles out, but most of the time had two without bait sitting in the boat. There were several times I was down to no bait in the water. I really hate/love when that happens

I was fishing at about 28' with the bait about 8-10' down. I used a floating light last night to see if indeed pulled less power and I think it did!

After I'd been there an hour or so, this boat with a couple gentlemen came up and asked if I was "doin' any good" I told them it was fairly steady. They anchored on the drop to the left of the bridge going towards Beaver Creek. I didn't see them catch many and asked them if they were. I suggested the drop off on the other side, and explained it was a little steeper drop off and that I'd done real well on it several times. I guess they thought a woman couldn't possibly know crapola about catching crappies. They moved back further on the same drop off....and gave up an hour later without fish. OH well....

I got me some. There were a BUNCH of 8-9" ers that I threw back. But these went home for the frying pan!

I have never seen crappie look like those two on the bootom do They almost look like some sort of hybrid the way their body is shaped.
