Eno River yesterday
The warm weather yesterday must have made a lot of people want to play hookie from work. Billy called me and asked if he and Phil could take the boat to the river. He called when they got there and said the parking lot was almost full. They caught 50 or so and Phil kept 20 for the freezer. He ran into one of you guys but could not remember your "handle". I hate I couldn't make it but work is frantic right now. I've got a trout fishing trip planned this weekend so it will be a while before I can make it back to the river. I think Billy is going again saturday. It's about time to check out the Ledge Rock area too. Good luck fishing. CK.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

Glad to see someone has time to hit the river. Sounds like they had a good time. I am off work for 2 weeks after tomorrow. Going to do a little hunting and then hit the river. I will be in a Red/Silver 17' Triton Bass boat. If anyone see's me stop and say hello.
CK can you give any more details on how and where they were catching there fish?? I have heard that some big boys were being caught close to the rr track.
Thanks and hope to see some of you guys out there next week.

crappiekrazy that was me billy was talkin to yesterday. said he had your boat out. yeah they was catchin fish, every time i turned around he had 1 on. we caught 75 or 80, mostly small. herb come by and he was headed up to trestle area so that may be where better ones are. water was 59 degrees. we run out of 12 dozen minnows and used jigs about 2 hrs. lots slower but still caught some. to many people on the river now, needs to get to about 30 degrees . i only go during week or at night until about december. youre right about ledge rock it should be starting up any night now

It's on Falls Lake.I think it's the first exit after you cross the lake going north. You can ask Buzz or Redboat or some of the guys that live up that way the paticular road names. It's pretty easy to find and that is one helluva nice boat ramp.Don't tell them about the old car though.J/K

As soon as you make that right there is a store on the left. They have bait. take the 1st rt after you pass the store (there are signs leading you to the boat ramp. It is a wildlife ramp) go to 2nd stop sign (you have to go left or right)and make a left. The boat ramp is about 1/2 mile on the right. The rd looks like it is going to take you directly into the woods so don't think you are lost. As for the old CAR you are on your own.. This is another great spot to catch winter time crappie. You can also sit on the boat ramp in Feb at night and catch some MONSTER slabs. This is a well known spot. If you ask someone at the ramp where the old car is they should be able to put you in the rite dirrection. There is a old car sitting in the woods. LOTS of fish caught in front of it.
Good luck, BUZZZZ
I will be on the river some next week so keep and eye out for a red silver triton..
