    Arrow Eno still thumpin

Me and dad (sprint275) headed to the eno sunday morning with slabs on the mind. we put in around 7 oclock and fished till around 4. The river was pretty crowded for a Sunday and we saw quite a few people catching smaller fish. The wind blew what felt like a cool 30 mph all day and even my big fluke anchor wouldn't hold us in place. The minn kota really got a work out. Thank the higher power I have 55 lb of thrust on the boat, which is kind of overkill on a 14' flat bottom, but we needed every bit of it to stay on our spots. We tried the trussels first thing but had no luck and came back down river and made our run between the power lines. Most of the fish were holding close to the bottom right on the edge of channel drop off with very few caught in the laydowns we had so much luck in last week. Bottom rigs with minnows, jigs with crappie nibbles, and deep minnows on a slip float were the ticket for the day. Fish didn't seem to be tight to structure, just on the ledge of the river channel. I felt the bottom as I bounced a minnow on a bottom rig until I found the drop off and boom, they were there. We probably caught in the neighborhood of 80 fish and kept 40 for the fryin pan.:D Here are a few pics of the damage.

Here are a few of the nicer fish we caught. No slabs, but good 11" keepers.

Water temp was in the mid 50's and the spider riggers were having a pretty tough day with the wind like it was. Improvising can pay big dividends in conditions like this.

Guess Im gonna have to go beat the bank over there at the eno. Your killing me here. I went Sunday to Beaverdam spillway and caught a bunch of 8" bass but not a single crappie. Those little bass were very aggressive. Hope they are a prelude to the crappie bit to come there. Very nice catch and thanks for the pics.
