High Rock - The Day After
Not that anybody cares about a report from High Rock today, but got to the lake around 9:30 and didn't catch crap. Water temp was 56 degrees warming up to 58 degrees. Winds were out of the west at what seemed like 200 miles per hour. By 1:30 had caught two crappie, one was 9 inches and one was 4 inches.
Got tired of fishing on what seemed like the high sees of the ocean so found a secluded cove and put half the poles out with minnows and half with cut shad. Still no crappies, but managed to boat a load of catfish (6 fish between 2 and 5 pounds).
In my opinion windy days are the hardest to fish for crappie. You guys did far better last night than I did today. Keeps those chins up, at least you didn't get skunked.
