Thread: Late Report from Lake Gaston

Made it to Gaston back in early August, and stayed a week. Had a blast trolling three way rigs with mepps rooster tails. Caught a lot of nice white perch and a handfull of stripers. Caught 2 at a time several times on the three way rig. Thanks to "Fish Doc" from the Kerr Lake board for the tip on using it!!!

Sorry, but a Mepps aint a Roostertail!!! Mepps are what Roostertails poop out... at a much higher price!

No disrespect to the Crappie General but the lures where purchased at Wal-Wart in Roanoke Rapids NC. They are in a standard Mepps package with the words "Rooster Tail " on the bottom in red. I know Wordens rooster tails and Mepps are two diffrent companies so either they have merged or Mepps is stealing their name!!
