Well..some people eat'em. In the store they go by the fancy name of Talapia. I know lots of people down east that eat Mullet...and even I have tried fresh cob mullet fried. Did'nt taste like chicken..nowhere near as good as Crappie..but, we ate our bait (so to speak) of them.:D

Are you wanting a recipe for cooking carp ? Or making carp bait?

If you are making carp bait the one thing I remember from my days as a kid on carp ponds involved a Sugar Pop on the hook covered in a dough made from millet, molasses, and strawberry jello I think. Can't remember any blend ratios, but those are the main components as I recall. I sure hope that you wanted bait recipes and are not planning on eating carp. If so, I recommend the "fish on a plank" recipe where after much preparation, flavoring, spices, and slow cooking you end up throwing the fish away and eating the plank...!

Hate to correct you but Tilapia is not carp. See this article.
