Burlington sewage spill
Anyone know if the sewage spill at Burlington into the Haw River will effect water quality? Where can you get information regarding this? Unsure about eating fish out of Jordan Lake if 1/2 millon gallons of raw sewage entered into the lake. Could it have just gone over the dam? Appreciate any replies.

eating fish after a sewage spill shouldn't be much of an issue as long as you are cooking them. Typically spills release more of what you could think of as nutrients....brown trout in various forms of decay. Chlorine can also be an issue but with either the way the river is flowing it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the reply. I spoke to a Wildlife rep yesterday and he said basically the same. Thanks again.

brown trout in various forms of decay
As long as it don't change to taste to reflect the various forms of decay, I can live with it.
