It is if you're not familiar with it, now is the time to fish James. Now is the time for walleye and crappie. It's tough to fish in the daytime though.
I am willing to go when you are willing to teach me have only cought one walleye in my life was using a 13 rebel and the walleye was all most as big crappie fishing in the winter is new to me also
never done any good on james in the cool weather..... then again i never tried much..
how is it going we will have tyo go troling for stripers soon
When the water temp gets into the low forties the crappie in James get fairly predictable, they get real tight in spots and will come to the lights in thirty to forty feet over brushpiles. Walleye disappear after about the second week in December until early spring when they return from spawning. When you get to the landing you see the same trucks and learn all the first names. I call them the night shift. I was down there last year during a snow and they bit anyway. One thing about the fish in James, they are large in size. There were a number caught last winter over three pounds, I caught a couple myself.
nice info mbtar mill keep that in mind.......
jackie... lets go...any time... you name it sir...any sunday or monday.
Hey Crowder I am deer hunting pretty steady these days. Hope to get back on Rhodhiss some in December.
I'll be fishing Tues night if weather is right, I'll post after.
