    Good luck.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

what is it with me and the wind? had decided while throwing down a tenderloin bisquit from back country that we were going to head straight to riles and start on the main lake side on the island. pulled in there about 7:45 and they were stacked up. light wind, slight ripple on the water. had a fish on one minute after all my baits were in the water. then two, then three. hot dang we hit the mother load. wind got up and bam, could not stay on them. blew like 40 he77. we tried newsom with no luck. wind there as well. finally went back down the lake and found some on the main channel. frank caught a six pound largemouth and lost another monster slab. we had some slow spells, then you would hit a spot and have half your rods out of the water. kept 12 cause possum's out of crappie. water temp. 58.3-60.2....medium to heavy stained. started in 18 to 20ft. and were catching them around 14 to16ft. finished in 20 to 24ft. and were catching them from 12 to 18ft. down. most all our keepers were fairly fat and frisky. same colors worked as we used a high rock. the town isn't quite up to her old self, but sure better than a month ago.
