Ok I said in an earlier thread that my battery cells were bone dry when I went out the other day, I filled them, they restored to about 75-50% fished the rest of the day and brought it home.... put it on the charger
went out today(didn't check cells) same thing... cells very low
I think my charger is not shutting off and it is overcharging the battery... I bought a new charger and I am going to see if this was the problem...
That might be your problem if it keeps boiling the water out of them. I can't think of anything else that would cause it unless the battery is bad, but I don't think it would even charge enough to boil the water out if it wasn't good. You might try trickle charging them for a couple days and see if that helps out since they were run dry...just throwing some options out there.
Drop By Autozone Or Advance Auto And Let Them Hook The Battery Up!they'll Let You Know If You Got A Bad Battery Or Not!
GET IN, SIT DOWN, HOLD ON, AND BE VEWY VEWY QUITE!!!!!
thats what i would do. they can tell you if it has a bad cell or not!

Rookie is telling you exactly right. deep cycle batteries all work better with a slow trickle charge, best around 1.5 to 2.5 amp per hr. When you fast charge a battery you cause the sulfation thats on the bottom of the plates to start sulfating even more and shortening their life. Most deep cycle batteries are designed for about 100 complete discharges then they just wont take any more charges. And-- most times when you have to add much water to 1, it wont last long.
