Trolling on Lake Tahoe
I'm in South Lake Tahoe right now for a company meeting. The plan was to charter a boat this afternoon and troll for fish. I've been excited all week, since about all I ever troll for is crappie. Well, with the wind gusting to 40 mph and the waves from 3'-5', we ended up in the conference room all afternoon. We're going bowling tonight for team building, but I sure am disappointed that the team building couldn't be on the lake. Hopefully I can get back on Jordan soon and get another good mess of crappie.

Bowling in South Lake Tahoe? Go figure? Seems to me it should be CRAPS TABLE! LOL That is one beautiful patch of ground on this earth. Been there a couple of times.

Spider--I think it was kokanee. Are they similar to salmon? One of my co-workers lives in Sacramento and fishes up here quite often. He told me the name, but I forgot it.
We ended up not bowling--went out for dinner. it's bedtime for me, but most of the others are hitting the casino's. I can't stay out at night like those youngs bucks. I think they wanted the company president to think they wanted to bowl, but I believe all along they had their eyes on the slot machines and poker tables. Back to Raleigh tomorrow and I get to sit in row "e" both legs. What fun!!

kokanee are small landlocked salmon. i believe tahoe uses hatcherys to support the population, but im not sure. they are pretty easy to troll for, and very tasty little critters. we used to fish for them up in washington state.
God bless America
