Looking for a new boat! (would love to find a new to me yet old to someone else). I want to be able to fish with my wife side by side on the front. I am not the smallest person in the world so I would like a heavier boat with higher sides. I really don't want a bass boat. Let me get you guys input. Thanks
Big
I prefer a Ranger Fisherman series, I believe it's the 600 series.. nice high sides, handles great, good fuel mileage, plenty of room for me anyway.. kinda hard to find an older one tho' you'll find more upnorth in Yankee land.. very good in rough water also! I'll see if I can attach picture of mine.
All I have ever owned has been center consoles. Never a new one but someday I will. I fell that they are the best all around fishing boat. Lots of room for standing and setting and fishing. I like Carolina Skiffs and also Jones Brothers, Southern Skimmer or Riddick Bay Runner. All these are excellent fishing with lots of room.
This is a 19 foot Jones Brothers with a 90 yam, It rides good with lots of room. It is stable and handles water great. It is rated for 9 people. So with 2,3 or 4 people there is lots of room. I have been all over the lakes and have been offshore and it is excellent.

Check out Raleigh craigslist under the boat section. There was a nice 16 ft. tracker deep v for a good price.
Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
i have a center console "Scroundrel" made by McKee Craft. It is rigged with two seats up front and a number of other extras. I am not quite sure that I want to sell but if you will PM me a telephone number i can give you more details and discuss the qualities of the boat. Thanks, Polorcrafter
i recently saw a man and his wife fishing out of a real nice lund, they were both up front and appeared to have plenty of room, i really like there set up, and the boat, it had a 115 on the back, they were an older couple so i am sure they have fished enough to know what they want and what works, what not to get would be a polarcraft, friend of mine bought an 18' brand new, the set up is ok but the ride is horrible, it rides so rough it has already broke his mount on his fish finder and busted his head on his trolling motor.
war eagle
pontoon if you dont mind going slow..... plenty of room to fish and store anything. and as safe as they come. cant fall out of one and they wont sink or tip over.
Carolina Skiff 1965 DLX would be a good choice. Check Chatlee Marines website. They have used ones from time to time. This boat is plenty wide enough to fish side by side up front, and it is very stable.
Good luck on your search,
Kellog
