Default Trout rip off

Drove 160 miles to Pied. B&T to get trout for this comming weekends trips. Bought 5 pounds and when I got home over half of them was shinners. If I had wanted shinners I would have bought shinners closer to home. Dip up at net full and you will have 6 shinners and 2 trout.to far to take them back, should have checked before I left the store. Is there a honest trout dealer close to charlotte?

So how many trout you get in a pound?....I only go by Perth when I put in at State Park or Stumpy creek...............Usually go to Long Island......Is trout really better to use than shinners in the winter? I can get shinners in a matter of a block away from the house..

figured you would know since you are the best and have scales and fins growing on your head.........

I admire any man's dedication if he will drive 160 miles for bait. That's hard core.

trout i think work much better in the colder months......they stay a live better in the cold stuff! but i always want to keep a few shinners in the tank just in case.

it all depends on the count, but i can fish for several days off a pound a bait. poind of trout roughly 2-3 doz

pound of shinners bout 5-6 doz.

Who dipped them for you? In the time it took you to drive 160mi you could have netted enough shad.

from what ive expierenced, shad aint worth a squad in the bone cold weather....unless ya constantly change the water on em, they will go into shock and die in the tank on ya quick!

I can keep trout alive all winter in my holding tank. When I get a chance to go fishing I just fill up the bait tank and go. Last winter I kept 3 or 4 pound on hand at all time . I live in the middle of nowhere and it takes me over a hour to get to the lake so I dont like to have to run all over finding bait
