I Am One Mad Pop Pop
Wife came in today about 10:00 am and asked me what the building door was doing open on the way back to the house. I knew it was closed yesterday evening so I went to see. When I got there, the padlock had been cut off and someone had stolen my grandson's first fourwheeler sometime during the night. I had bought it for him about 9 years ago and it was never ridden much. They had actually went to the back of the building and instead of moving everything in front of it, had picked it up and carried it out over another four wheeler and a lawn mower. They knew what they were getting as the one they stole was a better four wheeler than the one that was in front of it. Its just a 50cc and probably weighs about 150 lbs. I can honestly say, that is the first thing I have had stolen from me in over 30 years at my house, and it makes me boiling mad. They rolled it to the road and loaded it. I called the Sheriff's Office and they sent a nice deputy out, but what could he do. These four wheelers are hard to find as they are good ones. This one probably didn't have 30 hours on it if that. Anyways if anyone sees one like this..let me know, as I have fire in my eyes. Don't pay any attention to the redneck on the fourwheeler. Thanks
i feel your pain poppop my building got hit last christmas the bad thing about it is thats all you can do is get mad the thought of somebody on your property stealing while youre in bed asleep is about to much

Now that they know what's in your building, it might be time for a security system with video surveillance, cause odds are they'll be back. But then you'd have to burn a tape if you caught them red-handed. Man I hate a thief. Hope your grandson gets his four wheeler back.

For a quick fix...I guess I am going to pull my Ford 3600 tractor with the box blade in front of the doors and park it, dropping the blade. They won't be able to roll it out of the way with the blade down. The building is kinda of secluded from my house as I lived in the mobile home there until I built my house in 1987. Its probably 1200 feet or so from my house.
Poppop, I hate it that somebody broke into your personal property. I dont have ANY TIME for a thief and hopefully if any ever comes around my place I dont see 'em. I'd be better off that way, even if they did steal something. Hopefully somebody will see something and your grandson will get his fourwheeler back. Hopefully your insurance can help you out a little too. Maybe it's time for an outside dog to help keep strangers away.
poppop, hate to say this, but its probably someone you know!! not close, but in passing that knew you had it in there. didnt steal anything but the 4 wheeler, yeah i bet it is someone that has been to your place before!

It used to be if your fourwheeler was stolen your homeowners would cover it if the fourwheeler was used to help maintain your property. Now it seems, that has all changed so let it be a heads up for you four wheeler owners. Now you have to have a stand alone policy on your fourwheeler much like some have on their boats. The cheapest policies out there now is about $250 a year.
sorry to hear about your loss!!! Hope you find out and hangin', or disposal of properly! It is probably someone that has been in there before like the other guys say!! Kinda sad that we open our doors for friends and then they turn around and stick ya! Weird feeling also that someone invades our privacy like that and sure hope your grandson gets it back!
