Default Jordan Lake Expansion

Sorry if I missed it in another post, but did anyone find out more about the expansion down at Jordan? Is it a fishing pier or did they just build a observation deck or what? Thanks

This was from someone's reply on another post:
"Sounds like Poplar Point/Crosswinds area. South of 64, east side of bridge. Go south at Wilsonville on Beaver Creek Rd toward Ebenezer and its on your right."

The only spot I fish is at the pier by the church, so I have no idea where this place is. I may try and find it this weekend and solve the mystery of the new pier.

This multi-purpose pier was built along with the expansion of the park visitor center/headquarters. A paved path leads from the building to the new pier. It is a raised, fixed pier which leads down to a floating dock. It is used by the park service to temporarily dock their boats, by visitors to the visitors center as a viewing platform, and by fishermen. It is only accessible during the hours the visitors center is open. It is adjacent to the Poplar Point campground on State Park Rd. just east and south of the U.S. 64 bridge across the lake. It can be viewed on Google Maps here:

Enjoy!
