Question How's the water at High Rock?

I't been over a month since I've fished there. Has all this rain helped the water level any? Thanks!

Today Around 10:00 Itwas 1 1/2 Ft.up From Yesterday. At 2:00 It Was Still 4.8 Ft. Below Full Pond. They Must Be Letting Some Water Go. Yep, The Town Is 6 Inches Down.

Default High Rock

It will take a few days before it is completely muddy. I promise you that it will be full very soon unless Alcoa releases a lot of water. Rowan county has had about 10 inches of rain and Davidson County has had about 5-8 inches. It will all go into the lake. It will be nasty.

Many people talk about High Rock Lake being down like it is a bad thing. A few years ago it would go down about 10-15 feet every winter. That is when the fish bite the best. Old guys like myself don't like to fish it unless it is at least 2 feet down. I like it the best when it is about 10 feet down. Less water means less places for the fish to hide. Fall fishing and low water means a fun time on the water.

According to Fox 8 our little section of Davidson County....west of Hwy 109 and north of Denton....Central Davidson area has received between 12 and 15 inches of rain....it all runs into 4 mile branch and Abbotts Creek.
