hit abbotts creek for a few hours this morn. stayed around the road bed area the whole time half a dozen other boats crappie fishing too pretty windy and pretty slow managed eight crappie two cats that i dont normally keep but i been itching to try that elecrtic knife on now for the taste test

Same here painter...granddaughter and I put in early at Buddle Creek....messed around in Abbotts, then hit the river. It was so windy....we had two poles go down at about the same time...and managed to put two 11" crappie in the boat. Worked the dickens out of that same spot, figured there were some more 11 inchers in there.....never got another bite...we came on out before lunch.

were is the "old road" area in relation to Buddle Creek?

painter, have you tried out closer to the main channel in the abbots creek area?

no i hadnt c-more but if i go sunday ill give it a try havent fished that area much at all
