Default Rhodhiss 8/9 & 8/10

Wife & kids at beach for a week so guess what Skeeterdudes doin ?
Fished sat from 9pm till 2 am. Caught @ 40 & released all. Ranged from 8" to 11", probably averaged 9" overall.

Fished again Sunday & caught 80+ from 9pm till 3am. Bite started slow, but improved the later it got, which is opposite from every trip I've made this year. Fish got much bigger the later it got. Had several 11" & a few at 12".
Anchored in 33' of water & all fish were caught between 9 & 14'.
All on minnows. Brought a few home for the fryin pan.
Two really good nights for our little river !

Nice catch. Sounds like they are getting hongry on your lake. Were the fish relating to some structure or do you have a brush pile or something? Im gonna have to get out there some night and try that on Falls.

no brush or structure where I'm fishin. Just a bend in the river channel that seems to be holdin fish for the last few weeks. Only variation I can point to is that the water in my spot is a few few deeper than surrounding areas.
Hopefully it will continue to hold up, but knowin how unpredictable our crappie can be, they may be gone any day.
Saturday night must have been better for others, because when I left at 2 am, there were 8 boats still anchored under Castle bridge, & I usually leave around 1 or 1:30 & nobodys left on the water.
