Default 10 Big Fish

Hello! I'm new to Crappie.com, as well as NC. I brought my fishing poles here from Illinois, as well as my appetite for crappie fishing. Pictured adjacent to the 22" ruler are 10 crappie caught in less than one hour 5'-12' in 25' on one rod. All I'll say about where I caught them is that there is some outstanding crappie fishing in the City of Raleigh public lakes! The smallest crappie pictured is 1 lb 14 oz;14.75". The largest is 2 lb 7 oz and justa hair under 16". Together they weighed 23 lb 1 oz. They were slamming a 1/16 chart/gold sparkle tube. 6 of these fish were released into my home lake in Holly Springs, and four were dinner. I'm headin' back there first chance I get!

Some of the Raleigh lakes are not fit for consuming the fish as they have upstream PCB contamination. So you may want to check out what headwaters run into the lake you are fishing from. But those are indeed some nice uns you got there. Now I gotta fish every lake in Raleigh to find it!
