Default weather and crappie ?

thinking about heading down the mountain on sunday to high rock . and I noticed alot of rain for fri and sat. and it has been colder . I was thinking that the cold moving out and the warm in it would make for some great fishing. I havn't been doing this for very long (4 yrs. ) and still haven't figured out exactly how the weather affect crappie. I have read some things in some books but it is sometimes hard to put those things you read to use. if anyone has any advice on the situation it would be great (going fishing no matter what this weekend . I am just trying to learn on and off the water) .

I believe a cold front, especially one followed by a high bluebird sky, tends to drive fish deeper and makes the relate more to structure.By structure I don't necessarily mean trees or brush. It could be an old creek channel or just about anything out of the ordinary, maybe a dropoff of a few inches to a few feet.Just remember, crappie feed up. Keep your bait above 'em once you locate 'em. Good Luck and hope this helped some.

Most consistant catches have been around 15'-20' deep.
