But he posted: "General area" in the rules. Nothing about pinpointing hotspots. Give crappyman a chance on here, please.

Thanks Slab, Guys all I want to do is move the sport of crappie fishing into another direction of conservation through catch and release, and an understanding of how where and when to catch crappie. While bringing kids into the sport of crappie tournament fishing. I hope this format will bring folks that usally don't fish tournaments and people who want to start into an educational format by disclosing how where and on what one caught their fish. The good part about this that small lakes will benifit from is that we will be releasing fish that would be removed and eaten. These fish will hopefully grow to citation size and other anglers can catch them. Crappie grow very fast so if we eat a lot of 12" fish there will be fewer 15" fish to catch. I'm not saying don't keep anything. I'm saying throw some back. Thanks guys
I look forward to fishing with each of you sometime.
Keep some for the pan, let the larger ones go back for another day!
    Tight Lines!

Sorry gentlemen--a difference in lingo. I understand the term "honey hole" to mean a very specific location where you can anchor the boat and load a cooler, not a whole lake or large section of one. Good luck with your tournament.

I wish your tournament well Crappyman best of luck.

I only speak for myself, and others can surly speak for themselves.
    BUT
Crappy Tournaments with 100% payout and NO rules round here still get poor attendance.
I think NWR in winter and our new June Beaverdam will be exceptions.

I'm hoping that with all the folks that want to learn, some fun inexpensive competition and a chance to win a trophy for overall points maybe teach a kid the love of our sport, the new format and some give aways, it will draw at least 12 or 15 boats. hopefully will be like having a bash once a month.

Darin, its a good thing your trying to do here, I thank you. I will contribute some cash next time I am at Anna. I see your rules are very fair. I think,,most of the guys that post here, may not fit into the "Tourament mold" ..Not that either is bad. I doubt I will fish any tournaments, as I tend fish when I like, and keep any fish I want, etc. (don't fit that mold either)
I do wish you good luck and hope that it works out well! Hope to see you out there catching a slab !!
