Default For those having trouble posting pics.

I know a way of posting pictures, if you are interested, keep reading.
These instructions are for after you have your pictures on your computer.
The easiest way to do it is to have the image on your desktop. Makes it easier to find to upload.

I use www.photobucket.com to upload the images. If you don't have an account with them you can create one.(its free)
On photobucket.com, On the right hand side, there is a button "browse",or if you have multiple pictures you want to post, there is a link right below the "browse" button that says "add more images" click it, click browse and then find the image/images you want to upload and click "upload" it will upload your pic/pics and show a thumbnail at the bottom of the page.
Underneath the thumbnail there are 3 boxes with links. The very bottom link (it starts with [IMG]) if you right click on it and copy, then paste it in your message post, it will show the pic in your post. Then if you wanted to add a description to the pics, just type the description you want and copy and paste the link for the pic below it, then you can add another description for the next pic then paste the link for that one.
And if you come across a pic on the web that you want to post, you can right click on it and "copy image location" and paste it in your post, then add at the end and it will link to the site the pic is on and show the image in your post.
If you just want the link to the picture to show up, then you can highlight the first box below the thumbnail and paste it in your post.
By doing the pictures either of these two ways, you save space on the crappie.com server because it links over to photobucket or another website to get the image.
And if you want to downsize your image, its EASY on photobucket, just above the "upload" button there is a link " Uploading Options ", just click it and click the size you want.
I hope this helps all of you that are having trouble with posting pictures.

Pretty good info .... but, there's been a change (upgrade) in Photobucket. You don't have to right click on the address links (IMG or URL) below the pictures, and then choose "Copy" .... you can left click on the addresses and it will automatically "copy" them !! Then you can bring them over to your post text box, and "paste" them. ...... cp

Question Posting pics

Johnny,
when i do this, all i can do is copy one pic that goes in the cdc post. I have the photo bucket open in another window, I copy 8 pics, and then paste them to the cdc window, but only one pic posts. What am I doing wrong? I can even do the slide show on photobucket, but it doesn't post either. Photobucket and Crappie . com are on windows with separate openings of Mozilla Firefox. HELP! The pics are not on the desktop, they are in photobucket.
thanks,
Jane

Lightbulb Fishingal ....

If I had to guess ... I'd say Mozilla/Firefox is causing the problem. I've been posting pics (sometimes multiple pics) for 6yrs ... no problems. I used Internet Explorer 5 ... with my former OS, which was MS ME - no problems. I'm now using Vista Home Prem & IE7 ... no problems.
Mozilla/FF may have some security tab turned on, or a setting that needs to be tweaked (turned on/off). Can't help you with that ... don't use Moz/FF. but have heard a few people on here remark about having it, and having problems doing some things. Might be related, might not.

Hope you get it solved, as we'd love to see the pics !!

... luck2ya ... cp

Mrs. Jane, when you go to the photobucket page, go to your album, and under the image, copy the tag that starts with [IMG] and switch pages back to c.c and paste it, then hit "enter" for the next line, then go back to the photobucket page and copy the next one, then go back to the c.c page and paste it and hit enter, and on and on. I don't use Mozilla, I use Netscape 7.0 and 8.0, and IE 7. And have never had a problem, like crappiepappy says, it may be Mozilla that is causing the problem. If you can get one photo to post, and no other ones, try them 1 at a time. Basically start your thread with one photo in it, then reply to your own thread with another photo.... Hope this helps you. If not, send me a pm and I can give you my phone number and you can call, or send me your number and a time I can call you........... Johnny
