    Default We have PM's

That stands for "private message". In the top right of the screen under your login name, it says "Private Messages". Rather than start a thread to say something to someone, you can privately send and receive messages.

So, when you login, always check your PM's. If someone has sent you a message, the word "Unread" will be highlighted and there will be a number next to it, indicating how many messages you've received but haven't read.

(This may seem like "old news" to many long-time members, but I've heard from several people that didn't know PM's existed. For example, I sent a PM once. Two years later, he responded with, "I'm really sorry I didn't PM back. I just found out we had them!")

    Happy private messaging!

One other thing, If you're popular like me (mostly cause I'm pretty) or go around making folks mad like G-3, you may hit your limit on PMs, which is 100 saved messages. If your box of saved messages (inbox and sent) hit 100, the next one to send you a message will not be able to. You have to manually manage your messages by manually deleting them.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Under the colored bar, at the top of your PM screen, is another bar (Jump to Folder)... click the down arrow on the right end of that bar, then click on "Inbox" or "Sent Items" to pull up the appropriate screen.

The color coded bar represents the 100 total PM's that you can have in your message folder.
Red represents how much space is in use for received PM's
Yellow represents the space in use for sent PM's
Green represents the space not in use

If you ARE looking at your Inbox message screen ... and the message you sent isn't there ... chances are you have deleted it. In your reply message, if you used the "Reply" button to answer the PM you received, there should be a highlighted box containing that message

It should look something like this:

    Quote:

I'm one of those guys who didn't know about PM's until somebody told me I had one. Then I saw that I had a couple that were at least a year old LOL!

How do you send PM's? Do you use the member's CDC user name? Thanks

    Better late than never! :D

The easiest way to PM is to click on a member's name. You will get a "drop down" box. Then, just click "Private Message".
