Thread: Fishing around Omaha

Does anyone have a suggestion of good places around Omaha to take my daughter fishing? We went to Wehrspann over the weekend and caught quite a few crappie, we would like to try somewhere a little closer to home like Standing Bear, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wecome to the web site cubsfan. I am in Papillion and there are several spots around Omaha to fish. None of them are very good but you can catch quite a few fish, but just not big enough to keep. You have Cunningham Lake out there by you that has just been re-done, and should be open by now. There is Zorinsky Lake at 156th and F street. There is also Walnut Creek Lake here at Papillion.
I personally fish at Beaver lake down by Plattsmouth.It is a private lake that you have to have property on it to fish the lake.
