    why does it snow when i wanna go fishin'.... how much has everyone else get... just a light dusting here....... to early in the year for it

    Good Morning C n C! We got at least 5 inches here around Omaha. Don't let a light dusting of snow change your plans. It won't change the fishes plans. They are still looking for a meal and if you won't provide it they will look else where. I use to fish up until the ice gets on the lakes. I can't handle the cold that well anymore so have to pick my days that I can go fishing. Just dress a little warmer and have a great time. One plus is that there usually isn't any lake lice and sketters out there. EB

    thanks for the welcomes... mostly fish for crappie fall/spring and through the ice... catfishin' the mo river in the summer... just kinda stumbled upon this place when i was looking for some crappie stuff... hope to learn some new tactics than just throwing roadrunners

    C n C you picked a good site to find information about Crappie fishing or any fishing as far as that goes. If you check there are many types of fishing here on this site. It is manly a Crappie fishing site but other species are also discussed. If you use the Main forum then you will get a broader perspective of information that you are looking for besides going the the State forums. Also you can check the archives for past threads that cover the gambit of line, reels, rods, boats, different tactics, and others opinions of everything about fishing. This is a very friendly site most of the time. All you have to do is ask a question and most times someone will have the answer for just post about your fishing trips. We all love to hear about someones fishing trips especially if you have pictures.

    I live around Omaha just above you to the North. I helped re-build the OPPD Power Plant down there a few years ago. EB
