Friendship isn't about whom you have known the longest, but about who came and never left your side.

Very true. Years ago, there was a ball player by the name of Brett Butler, played center field for the Dodgers. He was diagnosed with throat cancer, and after recovery attempted a comeback. At his news conference he said; "When things are going good, you know who your friends are; When things are going bad, your friends know who you are". Has always stayed with me for some reason. BTW he had about 4-5 more good years before he retired. Good ball player.
