    Default Truman Today

Mrs JJ and I headed to Truman EARLY this morning. We had planned to launch at Osage Bluff. We arrived at the launch and immediately heard thunder and also noted there was only 1 other truck in the parking lot

We determined this was not a good sign, so we got back in the truck and went on over to Bucksaw. We fished in Cedar Creek for quite some time - along with a LOT of other boats Every spot we wanted to try already had another boat or two in them. Honestly we did not see anyone catching anything and neither did we. We left Cedar Creek and proceeded on up the lake stopping at a few other coves....sorry guys - I don't think the ones we stopped in have any names - at least not ones I am familiar with.

We fished through the wind and rain!! and even a bit of sunshine. Mrs JJ caught 1 white bass, 1 perch and outfished me a bit on crappie - so what else is new lol. At the end of the day we had kept 26. We used Washappa jigs - blue and pearl, fishing in 10 -15 ft of water 2-3 ft deep.

Nice job guys and gals. It can be a real battle in that wind.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

I would of tried also but just tuckered out...... sometimes the bite is a little slow, I think I proved that yesterday to chris and sam, glad you made the move and nailed some.......If you wanted to get wet Tally was a good place and very few boats.......For u to get Mrs.J out in that weather was a feat in itself......GOOD JOB.....

Nice catch. Bad conditions don't always mean bad fishing. I'll take wind and rain vs. Ice anytime.
