Thread: Keeping long poles together

As many of you know I just went to the 10' this last week, so now started with short strips of velcro, but then I see this "Lure Wrap" that bass pro sells and cut it in half and use one at the top one at the bottom and it seems to work fine, brother in law used duct tape, hell no wonder they think we are hillbilly's over here.... someone got a better mouse trap???

I use garbage bag twist ties...reusable, but probably even more hillbilly than ductape.

Rubber Bands.

Roll of double sided velcro cut in short pieces. Enough for a lifetime and many rods.

I may be stupid or just not as "high tech" as you boys but I just take them apart fold in half like you have in pic. then wrap the string around them and hook it on the eye. Works for me anyway!

Ditto spoonman. Fold in half, hook the jig in the holder loop, reel up tight with joint ends relatively even, grab line from butt section and wrap over eye on tip section.
