Welcome Hawk. Can't you on that lake but wanted to welcome you to the MO board. Where you from? Sounds like you've been abused somewhere else. Just wait, the experts from up there will be chiming in anytime with some good information for you.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

Have a lake place around the corner. Have not fished the spawn there in a couple of years. Try the very back of the big cove you in and find a bank that has the small rock. Fish with a bobber and a tube jig 18 to 24 inches deep. There is alot of trees sank around the boat their boat docks just ask the owners. In the cove to the east on the same side of the lake try the back of it as well. Also at the bottoms of peaples personal boat ramps seems to be good.

Its gonna be a no brainer next week pick a cove any cove start pitchin docks and don't forget to work the shallow end all the way to the bank also fish between the docks most have some cover in between them. The lower lake (alhonna to the dam) and the gravois will be good..........you should'nt have to run far to find em,good luck.

This past weekend was good on the gravois Arm, even in the rain. I had limits Saturday and Sunday in under 2hrs. They were on the bank in 2-3 fow. Saturday I caught most on 1/32 jigs, but Sunday they seem to want minnows mostly. Had some really nice BIG males. On another good note, I got to meet Mr. Baker at the Coffman boat ramp
