Spent 12 hours on TBL Saturday (8hrs) and Sunday(4hrs).
Went up the river all the way past McCord'd Bend. Lot's of white bass up there. Kids could have some fun. Caught Bass, bluegill and Catfish. No Crappie.
Stopped at Peach Orchard to check out my honey holes just to put a few in the boat for confidence. My three spots are GONE. The high water and current pressure sent them packing. I think I found them though. They are in thirty feet about 400 yards from where they were placed. Make me wonder why I spent 2 hours on that massive Cedar to pull off the shoreline and put 200 lbs of concrete on it.
99% of the trees that were sticking above the water at normal pool are now broken off below the water line at normal pool.
Catch total: (Sing to the tune of the 12 days of christmas)
54 white bass
15 Kentucky Bass
a dozen bluegills
3 catfish
And
One stinkin crappie on a jig
It's a different lake fellas and they are not relating to structure right now.
Water temperature is still 69+ so it looks like I'll break out the crankbaits and cover a whole lot of yardage this up coming weekend.
Was I frustrated? Heck Yeah!
Am I giving up? Heck No!
Barndog, get the ole #8 sippin' go go juice again so we can pull cranks to the oldies.

Kit: I don't post much, but I read the forum everyday. I can only say AMEN to your assessment of Table Rock crappie fishing. It does my heart good to read your post though...I thought I was the only one that couldn't catch crappie on TR this year. I been spending most of my time on Taneycomo and once in a while on Bull Shoals with my Rockaway Beach buddy.
I don't think the trolling season is over yet. Post spawn the Crappie move out into open water and chase the shad schools until fall. Sometimes they'll relate to structure during the summer, but they'll usually be in open water or around the trees over deep water. The crankbait trolling pattern lasts into October and overnight it will change. I didn't troll last week as I didn't take my crankbaits with me. That was a big mistake. Last week I was looking for some pigs up the James.
We have a tournament in three weeks so I'll try to get on them best I can. I'm going to hit Long Creek this weekend unless Barn wants to troll Cape Fair up the river and all points down to Virgin Bluff.
