Thread: Trip to Eufaula

Took a break from the great Truman lake and took a trip to Eufaula NoTime (member of the OK board) had been after us to meet him out there so we did. We ended up with 31 crappie :D using black and chart beavertail fishing in 12-15 ft water about 10 ft deep around timber. I caught 17 and Mrs JJ caught 14 - the only reason I was able to outfish her is she is having an experience with a kidney stone Needless to say she is off her game a little

I'm heading down there next weekend. What part of the lake did you fish ?

just got back from eulaufa myself. very hot up to 103 but the crappie didnt mind. we caught around 200 in 4 days. cleaned 80 last day lost a lot at the boat. had a lot at pound to pound and quarter. anywher from 2 ft to 15 ft of water. was talking to todd huckabee out there said the crappie are up around the timber shallow and in the clearer water people were trying to get to close to them.

have a good hope to see u at truman. i fish a blue lund with a 75 merc.

We fished out of Arrowhead and went to the east from there and back to the north and fished the first big cove on the right. Caught most of them on the north side of the cove. Most of them came off of pole timber but a few came off Bois D Arc trees. Todd was out sat & he fished in the cove at Arrowhead launch and he said himself and three clinets had 62 in 4 hrs fishing the bottom. We were going out sun for a while but it was stroming so we came home. Good luck.
