I own a small electrical contracting company. Like Baller said, I like to crappie fish all year round. I'm not as good as alot of the folks on this board but I can usually hold my own. I have a wonderful wife who never says a word about my crappie fishing and bow hunting obsessions. 2 grown daughters, 1 grown son and 1 son still at home. 1 beautiful granddaughter and another due in March. I fish out of a green 1860 G3 aluminum boat with a 90 Yamaha. I'm partial to jigging in cold water and trolling crank baits in warm water.

Smile well, I have my Missouri permit now so I thought I would share my credentials....

I am drifter for many on the board but for people who KNOW me around here call me Crawdad. I live in Iola, Ks and have fished all my life. Learned how to trotline from my dad but moved to the poles as a teenager. One of the biggest stepping stones for me was when I became aware of shad and the impact they have on fish. Have always had a Lowe boat and currently using the same boat that I bought back in 88. A seasonal guy by choice, chase crappies cept for the months of June, July and August...oh so hard to pry me away from drifting for channel cats :D !! AND I know of a couple crackerbutts on this board that I plan on taking drifting this summer...or for that matter any of you guys! Definitely an experience you won't forget.

I have been married since 73, have 5 kids with 7 grandkids and another one due next month (cake and ice cream every month...birthdays are kinda like the sun coming up in the morning around this house ) . Have taught here in Iola for 30 years and for the last 12 years I have been at the Iola Middle School teaching 7th grade science.

We are JJ and Mrs JJ. For those who know us, we are called Gary & Susie .
We have both lived in Spfd all our life. JJ is a diesel mechanic for Cummins and has been doing this for 33 yrs and 12 to go until retirement. Susie is a office mgr for a golf car company. We have 3 grown sons. 1 daughter-in-law and hopefully another soon. We have 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and with future daughter-in-law we get another granddaughter:D .

I used to play golf every Sat from sun up until sun down until I rethought how my free time was being spent and decided we needed to find something we could do together:D . Thus we fish every weekend possible.
The only thing that gets in the way is bad weather and sometimes family functions.

We fish Truman mostly, Stockton quite a bit, Pomme de Terre and Lake of the Ozarks a little and the Rock also. We have a red champion with a 150 mercury - but we have a new boat on order - also red champion with 150 Yamaha and I drive a red chevy pickup extended cab with "champion" decal on the back window. Stop by and speak if you see us on the lake. If Mrs JJ is driving - we will be going FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
