Good morning All. My name is Greg and I recently got back into fishing. I did it a lot as a kid but stopped for a while. Do a lot of fishing on local ponds but anxious to get out to bigger lakes. Don't have aboat so i am always looking for suggesstions for goo bank fishing. until i get my truck moving then i will be looking for a good deal on a boat.
I have 2 little girls who love fishing. So i want to find some good lakes and get them out there.
I just bought a 399 Crappie kit from bass pro and look forward to doing some crappie fishing this weekend. thinking about lake Jacomo. any thoughts on that?

Hi Guys... the real name is Barry
Here's the bit about me... I am from England, moved here in Sept 2006, married this sweet American gal :-) Got a married stepson and 2 grand-daughters 4yrs old and 5mths... I live in Springfield Mo and most of my fishing, tends to be at springfield lake or fellows lake... does anyone know a good way to fish them lakes ???
About all the fishing I did in England was sport fishing, nothing really worth eating there except the trout... but some good size tench and carp.
I have a friend here that has so far taught me the basics of fishing here, we never used jigs or plastics there, mostly live bait, worms or maggots, with cheese, bread and sweetcorn for the bottom feeders. Been mostly successful with the crappie below the dam on Truman lake, never had any luck on Pomme, maybe I just dunno where to fish them... I need a lot of advice on crappie fishing, because I love catching them and eating them but they out smart me too often...I have a boat but family and money dictate that is has to be multi-functional, i.e I have a runabout 120 hp, but heck I can fish from it...lol
