    Default Weekend at LOZ

Great Weekend pulling them in on the North Shore at LOZ MM 1.5.
I know the the photo isn't that outstanding, it only shows about 18 of the 31 we kept. But what made the weekend was fishing with my 87 year old Dad from Pennsylvania. It's been a long time. Sometimes the catch is just part of the fun. BTW, used blue/white SlabBusters with bright orange head.

Thanks, guys. Scott, IMO the key this time was the jig color - blue and white. That would be Penn State colors. The orange jig head was pretty banged up.

Crappie truely are a fickle creature, blue and white is one of my favorite colors but they didnt want anything to do with it the last couple trips around the 20mm....chartreuse with black sparkle and white/chartreuse has been the ticket in that area.

Bugs. no doubt those are good ones too. I was speck-u-lating that it may have had something to do with the overcast conditions Saturday morning. A lot of times I start blue/white and change to a chartreuse combo as it gets brighter.
