I am down from Michigan with a couple days to try to catch some Missouri Crappie. I put my little 9 foot bass hunter in at the Aldrich access this evening and found myself wondering how to fish in brown water with maybe 12 inch's of visibility. I realized that I was pretty far from the main lake and I've read that you all have been catching Crappie so I'm hoping that there is some cleaner water somewhere on the lake that I would be safe in my pond boat and still have a chance at catching some. I typically very. Jig timber up home but there I'm fishing water with visibility in the 15+ ft or better range. I'm comfortable with "stained" water of 3-4 ft visibility. Just can't find any fish in chocolate soup. lol

It was very clear last week, caught several off brush piles
I did find some clean water yesterday. Put in at Masters park access. Water there much clearer with greenish tint. Spent several hours dragging crankbaits around. Never had any hits. First time trying that style of fishing for specks so no doubt did it all wrong, but it's called fishing not catching for a reason . Maybe today.

I put in at Masters yesterday afternoon too.
The 245 bridge piers normally hold some crappie, they're about 3 miles south from Master's. I jigged around them yesterday and had a couple hits, but didn't hook anything. If I had some minnows I'm sure it would've been a done deal.

Put in at cedar ridge and go east to the bridge on the right as you come out. Then stay to the left first little cut on left has 5 state brush piles that normally holds fish. Try jigs and minnow. Should most likely catch some fish there.
May be hard to find clear water for a day or two said they got 3 inches in a hour at turkey creek
