Has any one been on the lake lately. I have friday off from school and I was considering a trip. Worth it?

Wondering the same... have long weekend too. How cold does the water have to get before this lake turns over?

I have only been there a couple times in the past several weeks, and there was not much to speak off. Caught a bunch of dinks, but keepers are very hard to find. This year is a very strange year, and there doesn't seem to be any pattern at all. Couldn't find much white bass neither, so it's been a difficult year so far. But like Cook said, it's always worth to go.

Plan to give it a try Sunday. Supposed to be in the mid 60's... Water temps in the mid 50's according to the Corps site. Wildlife area closed to boat traffic now so have to decide whether to pursue the dinks in Cooks Country (upriver) or on the lake south of "W"....

Friends went last night, fished from bank for Walleye and got 4 nice ones.

    1 quick question,
since they closed north of the W bridge, can we still launch the boat at that ramp ?

Yes you just can't go north unless you go to the free ramp up by Plattsburg and put in there. Jim C.
